Today's social events have taken on a totally different style. No longer are social gatherings limited to family, friends, and neighbors. In today's world, it's about networking and building relationships, and somebody has to make it work. There is little time left for the modern day woman who is pulling a nine to five. Orine Boyd doesn't have a problem with that, in fact says she, "I have the solution."

In May 2004, Orine opened the doors to an on-line event planning solution, Cando Event Planning. Since that time, she has organized a consortium of businesses throughout Central Florida that perform various services, ranging from web design, to printing, culinary, photography -- you name it. Her plans are to expand the consortium throughout the state. She is committed to identifying every type of available service, which will enable her to provide service to the most demanding and discerning client.

A proven "go-getter," Orine has amassed a hefty line of contacts in a short period of time. It's her attitude and people skills that have catapulted her from the "new kid on the block" to a competitor in no time at all.

Orine has a history of interacting with people as a profession, having been at the managerial level in human resources in Las Vegas before moving to Florida, and again becoming Human Resources Director with TransContinetal Talent in Orlando. It was her talent in dealing with people that opened the door for her to start her own business.

“Buts it’s not just all about making money,” says Orine. “Helping people has its place in the equation.” Her latest ambition is to hold a senior senior prom later this year, with part of the proceeds being donated to a non-profit in the Osceola community. On a lighter note, some of the seniors, including this writer, may not remember all the fun we had the night before, but it is gratifying to know that in the process, we were helping someone enjoy a better quality of life tomorrow.
